ABOUT LISA
Lisa Grafstein believes in public service, and she has spent her legal career advocating for people with disabilities, for workers facing unfair treatment, and for people whose civil rights have been violated.
Lisa has been a civil rights lawyer since 1995. After running her own firm for 16 years, she joined Disability Rights North Carolina, a non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of people with disabilities.
Some of Lisa’s top priority issues are: creating a just economy through living wages, safe working conditions, and fair tax policies; fully funding our public schools and increasing pay for teachers; addressing unmet needs in NC’s behavioral healthcare system for those with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders; and protecting voting rights.
