OUR 2022 WeCAN PILOT PROVED IT.
In 2022, C2C’s WeCAN (paid canvasser program) knocked on over 43,000 doors for Democrats in key NC Legislative races across the state.
Democratic-leaning voters with whom we had a conversation turned out to vote at a 12% higher rate than their neighbors we could not reach. Compared with published studies* of volunteer phone banking, which can increase turnout up to 3%, and with literature dropping (.05%), WeCAN data show that canvassing is the most effective method to increase voter turnout.

THIS TIME - WE’RE GOING BIG.
The more doors we knock, the more Democratic voters turn out at the polls. So in 2024, we need to knock even more doors per NC House or NC Senate district to have a big effect on each race.
We don’t know exactly which districts or races will be the most competitive yet. But we know there will be several districts where Democratic candidates can flip a seat or must hold one. And we will be there.
And, the more we raise, the more candidates we can support. For every $50,000 we raise, C2C and WeCAN will support one candidate.
